Laundry Love Muscatine provides help to more than 100 people a month who need clean clothing and support. It is currently housed at Midtown Laundromat across from the Heinz manufacturing plant. Funds are held by the Greater Muscatine Community Foundation, and volunteers come from Trinity Episcopal Muscatine as well as many other individualls. Support is received from a variety of churches and individuals as well as grants.

Trinity Episcopal Laundry Love is part of a national initiative to help our neighbors who need help cleaning bedding and clothing. Love, dignity, and detergent are part of the equation, but hope, friendships, and community are what keep us going.

We currently have two Laundry Love sessions each month on the 4th Thursday of the month. We have both a morning and evening session. Both are held at MidTown Laundry (1508 Isett Ave, Muscatine, IA 52761), across from the Heinz plant.

Laundry Love ministry provides quarters and laundry products to help individuals and families who cannot afford the cost of doing laundry. Vouchers are handed out each month by community agencies to those in need. Participants bring their dirty laundry to a local laundromat and are met with friendly faces who gather and talk over sorting and folding the clean laundry.

Financial donations can be made to the Laundry Love fund administered by the Community Foundation of Greater Muscatine, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Donations of soap, socks, and other laundry products can be dropped off at Trinity Muscatine and will be gratefully accepted.

Local agencies have vouchers for each month’s sessions. If you need help or more details, call the parish office. If you would like to donate socks, laundry supplies, or time, use the contact form or stop by the church. The office is open Tuesday to Friday from 8-noon, or someone can meet you.
